Come on in!
Open studio on April 11 2026
Twenty years ago, I started my own business as a book and paper designer in my small living room workshop in Beseland.
A lot has happened since then. I have developed innovative binding techniques and combined my bookbinding art with paper folding, photography, and cyanotype.
I have now been working in my workshop in Groß Heide for eleven years.
20 years! I want to celebration with you:
On Saturday, 11th of April, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
in my workshop in Groß Heide – Am Löschteich 2.
I’m looking forward to meeting you amid my work, which ranges from crafts to art.
I would be delighted to hear whether you plan to come.
With joyful anticipation
Nadine

I am delighted that my cyanotype “Translucent” will be on display at the Silkeborg Bad Art Center in Denmark from February 7 to May 25.
The traveling exhibition “IAPMA 40th Anniversary Ruby Jubilee Collection” will also be on display there, in which I am participating with a postcard on the theme of “smart swarms.”

Passionate Paper Party

1st day:
We will meet in the afternoon to get to know each other, I’ll show you my workshop, we want to set up the workspace and Dario and I will tell you what we have planned for the 3 days.
2nd day Dario will teach:
The general objective of the class is to provide strategies for creating and modifying folding patterns to make participants able to create new designs.
We will learn to modify the geometric composition and rhythms on some patterns, by introducing small variations on their geometrical parameters, in order to create different folding structures.
Throughout the workshop, our attention will be directed towards three distinct geometric variations which will be used on two different patterns, namely the water bomb and the double chevron pleat.
I will teach on the 3rd day:
In this class we’ll explore the concept of using origami tessellations for books and tool holders. We will create samples of my two techniques, the tessellated spine binding using the water bomb base or Miura fold and the circle binding with magnets as connectors.
4th day:
On this last day we will have time for more folds and questions – to finish or modify projects from the first two days – to share ideas -to talk about tools and materials and for show and tell of our group.
