1st day:<\/strong>
\nWe will meet in the afternoon to get to know each other, I\u2019ll show you my workshop, we want to set up the workspace and Dario and I will tell you what we have planned for the 3 days.
\n2nd day<\/strong> Dario will teach:
\nThe general objective of the class is to provide strategies for creating and modifying folding patterns to make participants able to create new designs.
\nWe will learn to modify the geometric composition and rhythms on some patterns, by introducing small variations on their geometrical parameters, in order to create different folding structures.
\nThroughout the workshop, our attention will be directed towards three distinct geometric variations which will be used on two different patterns, namely the water bomb and the double chevron pleat.
\nI will teach on the 3rd day:<\/strong>
\nIn this class we\u2019ll explore the concept of using origami tessellations for books and tool holders. We will create samples of my two techniques, the tessellated spine binding using the water bomb base or Miura fold and the circle binding with magnets as connectors.
\n4th day:<\/strong>
\nOn this last day we will have time for more folds and questions \u2013 to finish or modify projects from the first two days \u2013 to share ideas -to talk about tools and materials and for show and tell of our group.

\nOpen studio on April 11 2026<\/strong>
\nTwenty years ago, I started my own business as a book and paper designer in my small living room workshop in Beseland.
\nA lot has happened since then. I have developed innovative binding techniques and combined my bookbinding art with paper folding, photography, and cyanotype.
\nI have now been working in my workshop in Gro\u00df Heide for eleven years.

I am delighted that my cyanotype \u201cTranslucent\u201d will be on display at the Silkeborg Bad Art Center in Denmark from February 7 to May 25.
\nThe traveling exhibition \u201cIAPMA 40th Anniversary Ruby Jubilee Collection\u201d will also be on display there, in which I am participating with a postcard on the theme of \u201csmart swarms.\u201d<\/p>\n
